Victor Baudrand
Victor represented Team Canada at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games alongside his younger brother, Oscar. He made his IFSC World Cup debut in 2021 and reached his first final in just his third senior World Cup event in Chamonix. In 2023, he competed at the senior IFSC World Championships for the first time. Introduced to rock climbing at a young age by his recreational climber parents, he started indoor climbing at eight as an after-school activity. He enjoys sport climbing for its problem-solving challenges under pressure. Outside of climbing, he has a passion for baking, particularly intricate French pastries, and loves exploring top bakeries while traveling. He is currently studying political science and international relations. Having lived in several countries, he spent his teenage years in Utah. Inspired by Sean McColl, he once watched him compete for Canada, never imagining they would one day be teammates. His favorite motto is: “Another day in paradise.”
