I use different shoes for different purposes, like lots of folks, but my tried and true samurai sword is the Newtro Lace. It's just so good. I've worn it on most of the hard (for me) routes that I've done or tried regardless of rock type. If someone is looking for a stiff edging shoe, that's where I point them.
