I’ve been climbing since I was twelve, grade 7. Right after I moved to Canada from the Philippines. It was the first sport I really connected with. I got hooked fast and even competed in those early years.
Climbing quickly became more than just a sport. It turned into my sanctuary, my temple—a space where I could tune out the world and just breathe.
Now, 34 years later, I’m still at it. Hands on the wall, heart open. My dream is to keep climbing into my 80s. Because for me, climbing isn’t just something I do. It’s where I feel most like true self. It’s home...
